Abergavenny RC is a rapidly expanding club. You may pass a fellow member on the road or trails, give a nod of recognition to the jersey but not have a clue about the individual wearing it. Here, we introduce a club member and ask them a few probing questions.

Favourite discipline?
Road, only road. Single trails and me don't get on particularly well.
What do you like about cycling?
A sport that you can choose to do alone or as part of a team, has a very competitive edge and allows me to eat as much as I want without putting on an ounce of weight!
Best cycling moment?
Finishing my first major funride (Sportive) in New Zealand when I was 12. 125km Hamilton - Whangamata. Took 5 hours 44mins, 4 years later I knocked it out in less than 3.
Favourite music?
Anything that isn't boyband, girlband or R&B.
Favourite food and drink?
Quality New Zealand lamb with mint sauce, roast spuds & kumara. Can't beat it. The morning before a race - creamed rice and tinned peaches. Breakfast of champions!
